Was listening to Windows Weekly podcast Episode 24. Some info about Microsoft recently.

It takes Microsoft…

  • 10 hrs in a quarter to exceed Redhat’s earning in an entire quarter
  • 4 days in a quarter to exceed RIM’s (blackberry) earning in an entire quarter
  • 4 days in a quarter to exceed Starbuck’s income in an entire quarter
  • 2 weeks to exceed McDonald’s quarterly income
  • 2 weeks to exceed Apple’s quarterly net income
  • 18 days to exceed Google
  • 23 days to exceed Coke
  • 10 weeks to exceed Walmart.

It makes $55 million in profit everyday.

Recently damn free. So post more pics.

My current desktop keyboard: microsoft comfort curve. I like it’s half key size, the keys not so raised, similar to laptops but it’s a whole full sized keyboard complete with numpads and some extra keys. Yar, it’s dusty… damn dusty… but since it’s spill resistant, probably I’ll rinse it with water. LOL.

Next is my handphone which I bought days ago. Samsung x520. Budget phone, no other functions except just a phone. Ya it has a camera, a normal vga camera, it has IR which only works with my laptop, not with other phones. It still DOESN’T ring AND vibrate at the same time… ringing is still soft. Vibration is almost the same as my previous Samsung e720c, nothing to boast about. But for $178 without lines, I bought it. Coz I really hate the SE k300i…. crap shit. I’ll buy a motorola when I come back from Sweden probably. But this will be the one that accompanies me as I walk around in Europe. Triband, no frills phone that really works. The mic is good, better than nokia or SE. Oh, it has radio. And, it’s a clamshell. I really love clamshells… or flip phones, whatever.

Was watching National Geographic’s Light at the Edge of the World, one of monk said:

Freedom is only when you’re in control.

This is very very true. I always believed in this, and he put it nicely in words. I never liked the so called freedom that everyone was talking about… probably I didn’t understood what they are talking about or wanting to say. It’s not about letting your mind wander freely, unguided, but rather a controlled behaviour of the mind towards a certain goal or destination or objective. Hmm.. so freedom of speech is actually controlled? Ironic.

Threw away my queen size bed last week. Lots of space now!!! Threw away some boxes as well.

A simple cleaning of my little room… My box of roses soap. Soap shaped into roses. Quite nice. Yep… it’s fashion tv on the monitor.

And … unearthed some of my old consoles. Funny the games are missing… must be in another box.

Atari and its controllers. Damn old. Still working.

Sega megadrive 1 and my favourite small controllers for it. The other type of controllers for it are as below: Custom and original. Still working.

Sorry for the abnormal large number of pics on my blog, especially for the bandwidth impaired.
