So another undersea cable broke again. This time in Egypt. Far as it may seem, but we in South Asia are affected as well. Oh well… From what I observed thus far at home, not much disruption in the Internet access. Lucky.

Just because some have it worse, doesn’t mean that we can’t have better. Just because some don’t have food for months, doesn’t mean that I should be satisfied with eating once a week.

So I had lunch buffet at Meridien Hotel during the course organized by my company. And of course it’s paid for by the company, however I wanted to drink orange juice, so the waitress “warned” me by saying need to pay extra. I said ok… I mean how expensive can a cup of orange juice be…. In the end, it’s $10.59. for a cup of orange juice…. pwned.

I don’t know about the rest of you out there, but I’ve just recently realised that they subtitle what the news presenter is saying. Sometimes on Channelnewsasia and on Channel 8 or Channel U news. I’m a bit confused by it because the subtitle is supposed to aid us in understanding what the person is talking about. So on Channelnewsasia they will subtitle in English and Channel 8 and U in chinese.

Problem is…. I understood what the news presenters are talking about! I mean how bad can their spoken language be if they are news presenters?! The people they need to subtitle are those speaking in the video clips with less than understandable accents! Hai…. What needs to be done is not done, what don’t need to be done is always being done with such enthusiasm. Humans.

For the past few days, I think I’ve confused some people by being online in MSN all the time. Sorry, I seldom switch off my computer. But I’m not at my desk. AFK. I’ll… switch MSN off when I remember.

Work has been great. Kelvin, Andrew, Donny. Great people. Left a great impression on me in just 3 days. I’ll need to put in more effort it seems. Technical skill level too great a gap. I’ll try.

For the past 3 years I’m with Starhub Maxonline Express, I’ve been upgraded download speed from 2 Mbps to 4 Mbps, then to 6 and recently to 8 Mbps…… In just a short span of 3 years, I had 3 free speed upgrades. Happy.

Ram prices are so cheap recently too, I bought 2x 512 MB to boost my desktop ram to 2GB. Wonder if there will be any significance difference. I plan to increase my laptop ram capacity to 2 GB as well.

Just reached not too long ago.
