Davin was the model pilot, taking photos with the crowd. So popular is he that we have a hard time trying to engage a conversation with him. So I went to the air show, not knowing what to expect. And I have one big complaint: please organize an event with expectations of a BIG crowd. Crowd control was shit, traffic control was shit, transportation arrangements were shit. Wanted to join the queue for shuttle bus at the pasir ris mrt, but heard my friend who was in the front of the queue that she waited 1 hr, I went for taxi in order to catch the air acrobatic show. But hell! no taxi!!! until 30 mins later, in which I was stuck in a jam… with the people in the shuttle bus looking at me… what the crap.

On arrival, I found so many ah neh sitting underneath the planes… picnic!!!! in the exhibition halls too! sit there picnic! Other people also sit everywhere. The whole place is …. urgh, worse than IT / PC shows…. Oh did I forget to mention that we were stuck at the entrance for some time because entrance and exit is linked to one stupid bridge!

Last complain: I spent my MONEY and bought the tickets…. but no one checks it. So basically it’s free. CRAP. Bet the ah neh knows about this.

If not for the planes, this whole show is ruined. Well.. it’s half ruined anyway. I’m not a patriotic person but let me say something …. rant for a while… GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY!!. ok. that was inconsiderate but I really feel like shouting that at times. Sorry.

On a lighter note,  I have the idea of switching over to pacific internet. Anyone who have previous or current internet connection with pacific internet, please offer advise. Good or bad. More on the bad please, I already sort of understand the good part. Thanks in advance.

Just before chinese new year, Anders and Judith came over to Asia to tour from Germany. Stayed at my place for a short while, 3 days. Wished we had more time, so I can show them all of the nice food in sgp.

16th feb, met up with jc mates, s35 people. Mr Ho came!! surprisingly, but really great. Did one round of updating others of our current progress/status. Too bad some couldn’t make it. Hope to see them next time round, but I’m not optimistic as we are all getting busier. Thanks verlyn once again, I know you’re on the verge of giving up on organizing gatherings. Same goes for my primary school gathering this coming sat. Hope… more than 3. hahahaha oh well. we shall see. Cut my hair short too. Love my long hair though. Crap.

17th feb, met Bernard and Crystal, fellow interns at Barclays, for lunch at Marine Parade. Old place with fond memories. But we ate at Roland Restaurant, where I’ve never heard of. Had chilli crab, quite nice, but I made the mistake of ordering just one crab for 3 people. What a waste. After which we are quite full, so took a walk down east coast park, to mcdonald’s there and sat down. Looking at all the people there relaxing on a sunday, wished I could come here with my family every week. Too bad we live far away. Walked past vjc, still looks the same, more vegetation though. They built something like a tree house kinda stuff? Mr Ho says lessons can be held there, relaxing. hahaha Nice. Serene mentioned before that she looked after some fish tanks in vjc, wonder how does it look like. Anyway…. 3 of us took a bus back to city hall, walked to bugis to have my favourite Ah Chew’s dessert mango sago at Liang Seah St. Brought Anders, Judith there as well.

Great week. great week.

11th Feb… first time it carried passengers. I didn’t know of it’s existence before I left for Sweden, only to find it built when I return. That is after I’ve seen the London Eye in London… The “capsules” of the ferris wheel somehow looked like OIL BARRELS to me…. one word: fugly.

Oh well, yet another step towards mimicking other cities… yawns.

Some random pics of last day in Sweden and the journey back to Singapore.

Missed the chance to visit terminal 3 when I arrived as I was quite tired even though it’s just 12 noon when I arrived. So I got Lynn to bring me around instead since she’s so familiar with the place working as cleaner. HAHAH juz joking. :D

Terminal 3 is quite nice indeed.

Mind boggling. Wonder what caused it. Luckily we are not affected. Iran totally cut off.

Motorola is considering to bow out of the phone industry. Just when I was wondering if I should buy the razr2… now I know. Sad case.
